FREE WILL

So many times I’ve come to you with outstretched arms.

I’ve been with you always, protecting you from harm.

I Am in everything beautiful this earth has to show.

From each flower to mountain peaks dressed with snow.

From winding rivers, streams, and ocean tides.

Every sunset and sunrise you see with your eyes.

You surely heard about Me in stories as a child.

All about My life, and miracles I compiled.

I Was the afflicted, the tormented, and the abused.

I gave My life long ago, yet you still refuse.

I’ve knocked on your hearts door, each and every day.

You wouldn’t answer, but I didn’t go away.

I’ve watched and heard you cry when life beat you down.

Though you felt lonely, I was always around.

I was in your newborn baby, the first time you saw his face.

I watched him grow into a man. I watched your hair turn grey

Many years have come and gone. I still visit you.

I’ve felt your pain. shared your joy in everything you do.

Drugs destroyed your body. They became your life.

When you tried to kill yourself, I got you through the night.

I heard you cry, saying; ”If i only had a friend.”

So I came to you, time and time again.

You just wouldn’t believe in Me; how I wanted you to.

Now the time has passed you by; these moments are so few.

As the silver cord is parting soon, How much I love you still.

I just couldn’t force your hand. You always had free will.
